Bosworth Academy’s Class of 2025 Shines Bright with Excellent GCSE Success
A wave of celebration swept through Bosworth Academy today as our exceptional Year 11 students received their long-awaited GCSE results. The Class of 2025 achieved a great set of results that pave the way for exciting futures – many of which continue here, as we proudly welcome them back into our thriving Sixth Form community, The Oaks.
Some individual successes:
Maria Barnes – 99999887775
Ukrainian-born Maria joined Bosworth Academy shortly after the war in Ukraine began in 2022: “I’m really surprised about the results – I’m lost for words,” said Maria.
Her mother, Tanya Barnes, said: “it’s amazing, it’s everything we could have expected. She was up at 5am studying. We are really proud of her.”
Father, Paul Barnes, who is originally from Leicestershire but had been living in Ukraine for 20 years prior to the war starting, praised his daughter’s “Ukrainian mindset” of studying.
“Maria has got self-drive and we didn’t have to push her. When the war broke out we came here with nothing, the school was really supportive when Maria had to learn a new language and subjects.”
Eladsiya Mahendrarajah – 99999998888
“I’m feeling good, really happy. I’m staying on to do my A-levels here as I like the teachers, they are really supportive.”
Tasha Bland – 9999998887
“I’m really happy with my results, the support I got really helped me in pushing to achieve.”
Millie Watson – 9998777665
“It’s better than expected. I’m really happy. Everyone pushed me. I wouldn’t have gotten the grades if they hadn’t supported me. I now want to go to a good law college.”
Sayuri Patel – 99999999998
“I’ve done good.”
