Charity Fundraising

At Bosworth Academy we display Citizenship by making a positive contribution to the world we live in and show Collaboration by having the ability to work well with others.

Since the Fundraising Group was founded in Spring 2022 we have raised money for a variety of causes including LiFE MAT’s Rehoming Ukrainian refugees initiative and Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) with upcoming events for the Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal and Comic Relief.

We seek out creative ways we can raise money and were amazed by the generosity shown in summer 2022 when local businesses donated items for a raffle which raised £1140. We also held a stall at the Desford Heritage Festival where we raised £346 from student-made fudge and £74 from the Splat-the-Rat game.

In the autumn 2022 term we continued our fundraising by getting the whole school involved in a sponsored Gold Ribbon Run for CCLG and raised £1040. We then got in the Halloween spirit by doing a Festival of Frights with pumpkin carving, cake sale and games raising £275. We also ran themed fundraising around Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

We look forward to raising more money for charity and appreciate everyone’s generosity.
