Here at Bosworth Academy, our core purpose is to ensure all students continue to develop into confident, capable and successful people who can take control of their future lives and make a positive contribution to our community locally, nationally and even globally. We encourage and work with students so they can concentrate on their learning in an environment where they can work co-operatively. We value everyoneā€˜s positive contribution and we have very high expectations of all students. We work hard to provide the best teaching, to give clear guidance and to offer effective support. We believe everyone has the potential to learn and develop. We believe in recognising the individual learning needs of each student and personalising their experience accordingly. In tandem with this, we encourage a strong sense of community and responsibility for others. Most importantly we believe no student at Bosworth will underachieve.

We also believe in students gaining an awareness of their place as global citizens. We have fostered strong links with schools in Nigeria and China and are extending these links into Sudan. Students from Bosworth regularly take part in world challenge expeditions around the globe. In 2010 we were proud that the British Council had recognised the outstanding work we did in collaborating internationally, and awarded us with the coveted ā€˜International Schoolā€™ award.

We are proud to serve our local area and we appreciate the support of everyone who works with us to achieve our aim.

A successful education is based on partnership and we know it is important to work with you.

“Together we achieveā€ is our mission statement.

Your son or daughter is now approaching an important transition in statutory education. You must take the crucial decision of selecting the most appropriate school for them. We invest a lot of time and effort in maintaining our strong professional relationships with our family of Primary and High Schools so that studentsā€™ progression to the next phase is managed successfully. We are confident that we can offer your son or daughter excellent educational opportunities both at Key Stage3, Key Stage 4 and Post 16.

We are continually raising student outcomes in a whole range of national qualifications. Our responsibility is to make sure they are prepared for the next stage whether it be further or higher education or the world of work. We want the best possible future for all our students so we know it is important to invest in them now.

Crucially we believe that every student has enormous talent and that it is our responsibility to find this talent and ensure that they develop it into high quality qualifications. As a result, at Bosworth, 9 out of every 10 students get at least 5 GCSE qualifications at higher grades. This is an achievement second to none both in Leicestershire and nationally.

Since January 2011 we have further strengthened the Academy by joining with six local partners as the Bosworth Academy. This will help us to connect our curriculum to both the world of work and Higher Education. We are extremely proud that these prestigious organisations want to become part of the Bosworth story and we look forward to welcoming new students and parents into the next chapter of success.
