Student Information
The Maximising Learning Team comprises the Year Heads and the Learning Support staff under the direction of the Team leader for Key Stage 4 and the Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO).
The team will oversee the progress, attendance, behaviour and welfare of all students in their care, liaising closely with parents and staff to ensure individual support. The team will be able to advise students on learning and personal issues as well as helping any students who find it difficult to adjust to school life. The Year Heads and tutors will provide a key contact regarding behaviour and attendance.
Sixth Form Student Services
The Sixth Form/ Post 16 student support team comprises of a team of specialist tutors and Year Heads under the leadership of Assistant Headteacher Leader of Key Stage 5. The team are supported by the Administrative Assistant who also acts as receptionist for sixth form enquiries. The team work closely with both the Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and attendance officers who have responsibilities across the Academy.
Students in the Sixth Form are also able to access the services of the Academy Counsellor and Nurse either by referral or on request.

They will also be able to advise students on learning and personal issues as well as helping those who may experience difficulties. Their role is also to support and guide students planning for their future.
Health Services
Young people at Bosworth have regular access to a confidential, independent counselling service and the school nurse, where they can get support and advice on a wide range of health issues.
Both agencies offer young people access to confidential information, advice and support services which are independent of the school.
