Toyota/Marks and Spencer L3 Engineering Apprenticeships open evening Thursday March 21

Open evening for three level 3 engineering apprenticeships on Thursday March 21 at the Toyota Training Academy at Burnaston, Derby DE1 9TA, 4.30pm-7pm. Parents are welcome to come along, the vacancies are suitable for school leavers with at least 4 good GCSEs including maths, English and science. The successful applicants will train at Burnaston, but then move into an engineering role at M&S Castle Donington.

MIA Motorsport and Automotive Jobs Fair, Tuesday April 2

National College for High Speed Rail open days

To help students see what being a learner at the NCHSR is like, there are rail taster events at Doncaster (March 20, April 10) and Birmingham (March 21, April 9), suitable for year 10 upwards.

Year 10 and Year 11 Medicine Calling – Thursday 11^th April, 5:30-8:30pm, University of Leicester

An evening for students in Year 10 and Year 11 and their parents, carers or teachers to find out more about what is needed to study medicine, with a spotlight on psychiatry and mental health careers. This evening will give students the opportunity to speak to current doctors, take part in a practical workshop as well as find out about all the support on offer from the University of Leicester. Refreshments are provided.

LEBC are running an information event for year 13 students who are interested in routes into the NHS. The Apprenticeships Team are hosting an afternoon coffee/tea and cake session where students can come along and find out about apprenticeships with one of the world’s largest employers. This will be held on Wednesday 3^rd April 2019 from 4.30pm-5.30pm. Places are extremely limited so this is on a first come first served basis.

LEBC will be visiting the school to run an apprenticeship workshop for students in year 11, 12, and 13 who are interested in applying for apprenticeships in the future. It will take place in room O3 in The Oaks on Thursday 14th February.
